About WPTA Singapore
WPTA Singapore is the official Singapore Chapter of the World Piano Teachers Association (WPTA). It is dedicated to fostering excellence in piano education, performance, and professional exchange within Singapore and across the international music community.
Bringing together piano educators, performers, and music professionals from diverse backgrounds, WPTA Singapore serves as a platform for artistic collaboration and professional development through masterclasses, lectures, concerts, competitions, and educational initiatives. As part of the global WPTA network, the Singapore Chapter actively promotes cross-cultural dialogue, supports the growth of young pianists, and contributes to the continued development of Singapore’s classical music landscape.

The President
Dr. Yang Wu
Trained at Moscow State College of Frederic Chopin and the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, earning her master's (2010) and doctoral (2013) degrees, Dr. Wu is an award-winning pianist who has performed internationally. She serves as a lecturer and master’s advisor at Singapore Raffles Music College and is a Steinway Teacher and Education Partner. Dr. Wu is president of WPTA Singapore, a founding member of the Chopin Society of Singapore, Artistic Director of the Singapore International Classical Piano Competition, and a sought-after international adjudicator. She also directs Finger Waltz Music Productions, bringing world-class pianists to Singapore audiences.
